After a year off because of the pandemic, Patrick Nolan revived an annual tradition in Hendry County – where he taught yoga to Special Needs adults at Goodwill Trailways Camp. The camp is made possible thanks to the Robert V. & Benjamin G. Miller Fund.
Enabling Adults with Special Needs to Grow
Trailways Camps was established to develop and provide camping experiences for adults with special needs and respite for their caregivers. Campers thrive on having fun, friends and support while parents and caregivers are able to rest, relax and enjoy some time for themselves. Our campers are encouraged to participate in all activities. We’ve found ways to adapt and adjust for each person, and we cheer them on to victories big and small. Camp is a place where everyone is special.
